These poems are also assemblages—repurposed words and phrases that resonate more as emotions rather than being easily put into words. They aren’t meant to be fully understood, but felt. They may spark images and memories, like glimpses of familiar yet faded scenes from old daytime television.

They will have money on any day of the week.
Desiccated Goji forbids daytime television,
saying yes to refrigerated coconut oil,
saying yes to Tracy Grimshaw.
We perform landmarks on earthenware glaze.
She wears
projected malevolence
and a patio extension.
Violence is golden
if it is a payday.

Manifesting extensions
to the closet for my shoes.
Meditating on the ceiling fan
and feeding chicken bones to the dog.
All offers are accepted.
Your hard work is double glazed in linen.
They only take the good ones now.
Prolong expectations for crispy golden skin.
Obey my conditions
for dishware oven safety.

I desire to stand on you
and iron my dried clothes.
Eating baked on residue,
we take our blankets to
the double bathroom sinks.
If gain= aperture
does
radiance= oblivion?
We empty deleted items and double ablutions now.
To over mix is a sin
but
prayer
will find you a matching lid.

Do you strive to make data driven decisions?
I can’t afford a jet ski,
but ownership
will increase the chance of measuring powered protein.
Who will rent our 2nd first house?
Who will aggregate our false positives
into
memories of war?
Reading forms with algorithms
will increase the chance of rain,
But
only charting indexes will promote envy
among men.
Do you strive to make data driven decisions?
Do you want to kill
the perennials now?
